Today was a fun filled day at Busch Gardens. We started bright and early even though the park didn’t open until 10. Boy is was a scorcher. I was dripping sweat standing still! We spent the morning there until about 12:30 then headed out to get lunch and back to the condo for naps!! After nap time we went to a few outlets just to see what was there then headed back to Busch Gardens for the evening. It was much more bearable as far as the temperature and the kids got to ride more rides, Lance got some face paint, and we ended the night with ice cream, funnel cakes, and fireworks!! A really great day!
We met Bert, Ernie, and cookie monster right off the bat. They were in a gift shop so we were in luck. Lance greeted them right away.
Ryan and Mikayla looked from afar:)
Ryan did play a little claw game with Ernie and Cookie Monster
Waiting for the first roller coaster of the day
We are in the last 2 seats. Lance was having a blast, Ryan was buried into my chest with a death grip!!
Elmo sky ride. It goes straight up then back down a few times. I used to be able to go all day long on stuff like this as a teenager. My stomach has weakened with age!! Glad that Daddy will be along at Disney to help with the riding:)
Watching the sesame street characters put on a show
Lance got me on Escape to Pompeii, it is a water ride where you get pretty wet. He was quite the dare devil today. I didn’t mind so much since it was 100 degrees. We are on the last seat.
He absolutely LOVED it!
Lance begged for face paint and I wouldn’t do it this morning since we were going to nap, so I let him get it this evening. 10 bucks that lasted 4 hours. Whatever makes them happy!!
It was a long, hot, but fun day. Despite the heat, a few melt downs, and moments of frustration, We are making memories!!
