Hello May!!!

What a way to welcome May! A 85 degree day, a little good ‘ole American baseball, and strawberry pickin’. It’s been a great day!!

JR is working today so I had to coach T-Ball. Now…I am quite athletically deficient so it was interesting but we WON the game!!! Way to go River Cats. No pictures because I couldn’t shout out orders and snap at the same time:)

After T-Ball we headed home to quickly change and head to Shlagel Farms to pick strawberries. Ryan has been waiting since Tuesday to do it and has asked about it every day. It was great, not many people and TONS of strawberries. We picked and picked and picked some more. Lance did well getting only the bright red ones, Ryan however would pick one and then throw it back. He was quite a challenge and needed close supervision:) Mikayla did well and in true fashion had a few temper tantrums and then resorted to her thumb:)

We are preparing to dip some strawberries into chocolate and create some teacher appreciation gifts. Don’t forget all of your children’s teachers…this week is teacher appreciation week. My plan is to send a little something every day…we’ll see if the good intentions pan out.

Lance took Mikayla on a little spin around the barn. She was upset Nicki threw away her ice cream.

Looking at the turkeys. They were gobbling up a storm.

A sneak peak at the teacher appreciation gifts. I decorated the black ceramic containers and will add a bouquet of chocolate covered strawberries. The containers can be pencil jars after they eat the yummy treats. Mmmmmm!!
