As the summer officially kicks off with memorial day weekend, I can’t help but be reminded of why we celebrate memorial day to begin with. Pastor Jeff has a great sermon yesterday to remind us of just that. Memorial day is about sacrifice, the great sacrifice that men and women of the military make every day so that we can spend this weekend with family, friends, good food, and fun. We pray daily for those who are serving to return home to their families safe and sound there are so many that don’t and pay the ultimate sacrifice. So, to all those out there who are serving in our US military and to their wives, husbands, and families, THANK YOU!! I wish I had an ounce of the courage that it takes!
With that being said, we were able to spend yesterday having a great time around the pool and our first bon fire of the year. We all had a great time and will do it again today!! I hope everyone has a great holiday.
