Home again

We made it home from the beach yesterday evening, FINALLY!!! It’s not a Gimmel family road trip unless there is illness involved. Yes, Lance was sick the whole way home. Poor thing, I thought it was car sickness but now think he just had a bug. He said he felt bad before we even left Myrtle beach and wouldn’t eat breakfast. Sure enough every couple of hours he would throw up. We stopped several times to clean up and then would get back on the road. One of the first times he threw up Ryan shoved his blanket at me and said, “Mommy I threw up a little bit on this blanket!” There was a little on there, guess it was sympathy throw up. How gross!!! Any other time Lance was sick Ryan stared out the window:)

We stopped for lunch and transferred Lance to dad’s truck where he could lay down in the back seat, He slept the whole time thank goodness. Every time he would wake up he would be sick again. Once we got home he had a temp of 101 so I gave him advil and it didn’t even hit his stomach before it came up. He laid on the couch until about 7:00 then he asked for a cheeseburger. I was a little leery but he hadn’t eaten all day so what the heck. Ryan was hollering for dairy queen so off we went. They both ate fine but when we got home they BOTH had temps of 103. We gave them rounds of medicine and off to bed they went. They still had fevers at 3am when we pumped more medicine in them then this morning they were back to normal. Strange thing, but glad it’s over!!!

Other than the trip home our vacation was wonderful, Thank you Grass Masters!! Without Dad and JR’s business staying at North Beach wouldn’t have occurred. We are so blessed. Thanks Mom and Dad for everything too. Here are a couple more pictures of our beach paradise.

Too many pools to choose from!!! We stayed between the baby pools at the bottom of the picture and the one in the middle. It had a swim up bar with tables IN the pool. I have consumed more drinks and ice cream than you can shake a stick at. Guess that’s why it’s vacation!!
