Well it isn’t even June 1st and we’ve had the hottest day of the year with a heat index of 105 degrees!!! We took advantage of the only thing to do on a day like that yesterday and spent it at the pool. We are so thankful that Nana’s pool is right in our backyard for our summer entertainment.
We woke up bright and early yesterday and headed out to breakfast at Cracker Barrel and then to target to get stocked up on goggles and dive toys. After a brief rest at home we headed to the pool. The kids had a great time and it is always a chore getting them out of the pool at the end of the day. The water was cold but refreshing after baking in sun.
Lance spends more time under the water than above
Ryan takes his time getting into the water. He still wants his floaties but I think it is more for mental comfort than anything. He can swim without them.
Notice Mikayla’s fashionable bathing suit. She had 3 brand new ones that she screamed and cried about every time we put one on her. She kept pulling at the neck saying “take it down!” Guess it was a bit restrictive for her, we are going to have to get a bigger size so it isn’t so tight. She is a mess!
Uncle “Jar” is the best swimming buddy
So proud to be swimming by herself
I love how she is holding onto his arm
My bathing beauty
Lance’s Big splash
Mikayla had goggles too
There is no such thing as good hair by the pool!

Looks like so much fun!
I wish I could dive in with you! That is so funny that she calls JR, Jar! What a great way to spend the day. I am sure we will be seeing more of this pool!
